This is for anyone to see my game's basis. It is also the beginning of a book I'm editing based on my game.
Thousands of years ago man claimed these planes for his own after his ascension above beast. Ever since that first day, he has strived to improve and better himself as a whole. Enhancement after enhancement was made for every meager challenge or daily task, and it eventually made it too easy for man to become comfortable in his banal existence. This necessarily wasn’t a bad thing, for this was what the human race has struggled to do for such a long time. This naturally inherited ability to exist without change was the reward given to us by our ancestors. But, with the lack of hardships in his life, man only had his carnal desires to keep himself active. Greed, lust, violence, and pride were the only pleasures of the average man, or woman, and, over time, it stretched farther into the masses and influenced more people. These sins quickly became socially accepted, and then they became worse. Then they became socially accepted again and grew worse until the cycle led society into thinking that sin was so acceptable that it eventually became an endeavor. Pleased with his life, mankind rested contently under a strong shelter that was built by his forefathers, and his sense of adventure was substituted with indecency and immorality. No one moved forward anymore, and, thus, the world became static. It became an unmoving pool in which it was impossible for anything to change. There became a need for movement-- something to stir the world and ebb the tides of the still waters before it became stagnate. So came the fateful night: it was a night that would bring the world to its knees. The force swept though the lands killing 70% of the population, parts of the world were decimated by strange forces, all of the scientists and governmental officials died, many people fell victim to sicknesses and mutations, and stories of supernatural things happening across the world spread. So the world was in turmoil and every man with a shotgun and a six-pack thought they were leader, and even the most docile of men had to kill in order to protect their family. Forged in the chaos and anarchy, a selfless group of individuals named themselves the Gaegus Renewal Association (GRA) and rose up to end the rising turmoil. Banding together, they managed to become protectors of entire cities and colonies. Eventually their success reached the places outside their formation and they too became part of it. The group gained numbers and formed police forces, cleaning up every major city that was not wiped from face of the planet and defending them from marauders. Once they were able to fortify borders, they became farmers... and then builders. They alone established government and shelters for man to hide within once again. Thus begins our story, 21 years AJ (Anno Judicus) The city of Sirus has been the stage for a bizarre spring of murders that has gone on for two years. They killed their victims with the calling card of a scene depicting a correctly accused sin and showed no prejudice to their selection of victims. Jack Edward Newborn was an exceptional rookie who was bumped up to the case as lead detective when the spree started because of his high merits. After the months passed, he has become a celebrity who is notorious for being an asshole to everyone who wants to talk to him; it was clear the case had got to him and he became a chain-smoking asshole. Even though he worked so hard on them, he had been chasing the criminals for two years without a bit of evidence to whom commited them and why.
